Experience a Multi-Country Safari as You Travel to Each Attraction by Air
Want to jet off to far and away places in Africa? What to explore the unexplored? Or simply just want to spend more time in places on safari and less time travelling. Then maybe a tailor made flying safari is what you are after.
We will custom build an African flying safari just for you! Maybe you are after something a little different or want to spend more time in a particular place of interest. We are not limited to Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania or Zambia but can arrange a flying safari anywhere between Cairo and Cape Town!
While travelling on a 4×4 overland safari has many benefits, it does not always meet the time restraints so many of us are faced with. Africa Expedition Support takes the stress out of arranging a multicountry flying safari, ensuring all the day-to-day travel details are taken care of, from meeting you at each airport to ensuring the tour itinerary ticks all the boxes on your bucket list.
Let’s face it, time is precious, and an ever expanding reliable air service linking not only capital cities in Africa but also small regional towns and remote national parks makes a multicountry flying safari a fabulous option.
You made happen what we were told by travel agents would be impossible. We cannot thank you enough for all your efforts in making our holiday such an amazing experience. We were amazed at how smoothly everything went considering how complicated our request was.
Here are some examples of multicountry flying safari custom trips.
Bucket list African safari holiday
We had an enquiry from a couple who had a very long wish list but very limited time, although they would have loved to travel Africa overland, they knew this was not an option. They desperately wanted to trek critically endangered Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda and visit the genocide museum in Kigali, spend a few days on safari in the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya, climb Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and visit Victoria Falls in Zambia. All in 18 days!
After some head scratching and working our way through the different flight schedules and several discussions with our local partners we came up with the perfect flying safari itinerary that got them to all the places on their wish list without being too hectic or having to take overnight flights.
They trekked the Mountain Gorillas and not only did they visit the genocide museum in Kigali but also enjoyed a city tour and spent a few hours wandering through the local markets. Their safari to the Masai Mara National Reserve was incredible, spotting the Big 5 on game drives as well as numerous bird species and a variety of African wildlife; they made it to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro in 8 days and took a photo to prove it! They completed their flying safari with a couple of days in Livingstone viewing the Victoria Falls, microlighting, visiting a local village and walking with lions.
Flying Safari Vacation for a Family
A recently retired couple wanted to come to Kenya for a luxury safari to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary. Africa had always been a dream but they never had the time while raising a family and concentrating on their careers. They wanted to bring their adult children and grandchildren with them for a 10 day safari. When they told their adult children what they were planning they were elated and started making plans to take time off work. The flying safari gave them more time to explore without time required for 4×4 overland driving.
The adult children decided to extend their time and add on extras, after all they thought if they were coming all the way to Kenya they might as well spend more time on the African continent.
One of the daughters and her husband in addition to a luxury flying safari wanted to explore Uganda and trek in Ruwenzori Mountains. Another daughter wanted to spend a week on Zanzibar after the safari with her family and their son always dreamed of diving and photographing prehistoric rare cichlid fish in Lake Malawi.
We designed a dynamic family luxury flying safari in Kenya visiting the Masai Mara National Reserve, Ol Pejeta Conservancy near Mt Kenya, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli National Parks catering for adults and children alike. In addition we took care of all the arrangements of each of the children’s requests ensuring their holiday to Africa was truly memorable.
It is not the one place which makes the trip worthwhile; it is the African Safari package. The time was great, the food was delicious and the memories of the trip ever present
Family Holiday Blending Flying Safari with Guided Self Drive
We had a family who also run a successful business in Australia and although they desperately wanted to join us on our 10 week Cairo to Cape overland expedition they could not afford to be away from the business for that long.
Through several emails back and forth we ascertained they really wanted to visit Egypt, loved the idea of a 4×4 driving safari that was at least 2 weeks long, wanted to spend time on Zanzibar, explore Malawi, see Victoria Falls and discover Cape Town in South Africa.
We suggested an itinerary for Egypt where they visited the key historical sites including a Nile cruise, fly to Nairobi and join our 26 day Dr Livingstone guided self drive safari to Livingstone and then fly to Cape Town for a few days. The itinerary worked perfectly, did everything they really wanted to do and within the time frame.
