There is so much to see and explore driving through the Serengeti National Park

There is so much to see and explore driving through the Serengeti National Park

Safari Week 1: Serengeti National Park and Lake Manyara National Park

We begin in Arusha, Tanzania, where we meet our trusty 4WD Land Rovers, climb into the driver’s seat and start the adventure of a lifetime. Over this week we will track African wildlife across the wild plains of the Serengeti National Park and look for tree-climbing lions in Lake Manyara National Park.

Safari Week 2: Masai Culture and Zanzibar

Returning to Arusha we immerse ourselves in Masai culture, stop to shop for some Tanzanite (rare blue diamond from Tanzania) before arriving on the beautiful island of Zanzibar for a few days of exploring, relaxing and touring spice plantations

Safari Week 3: Lake Malawi and South Luangwa National Park

Arriving back on the mainland we drive through the rich farmlands and wine region of Tanzania before arriving on the shores of Lake Malawi. Malawians are renowned for their relaxed laid back personalities and we will warm to this country and her people immediately. We drive high into the hinterland to explore the unique town of Livingstonia and explore villages by the lake’s edge, a highlight for most are watching skilled wood carvers create masterpieces.

Be prepared for the spray and spectacle of Victoria Falls in Zambia

Be prepared for the spray and spectacle of Victoria Falls in Zambia

We enter Zambia and the astounding South Luangwa National Park for morning and evening game drives. Evening game drives offer the opportunity to spot rare nocturnal animals.

Safari Week 4: Victoria Falls

Travelling down through Zambia we reach Livingstone and the breath-taking Victoria Falls. We park up for a few days while we enjoy the Falls and explore the historic town of Livingstone. Livingstone is more than just the Victoria Falls, with activities like walking with lions, rhino trekking, helicopter flight, sunset cruise and many more.

Safari Week 5: Chobe National Park and Northern Namibia

Back in our 4WD Land Rover we take an intrepid journey across the Kazangula River to the quiet town of Kasane in Botswana. Here we game drive in Chobe National Park, famous for elephants before a spectacular boat safari along Chobe River where it is not unlikely to spot herds of elephants and even big cats venturing to edge to refresh their thirst.

Crossing into Namibia we are astounded at the variety of birdlife and aquatic animals at the very northern tip of the Okavango Delta as we tour the region by boat and open-top safari vehicles. A brief stopover to touch and photograph the world’s largest meteorite is always a pleasant surprise.

You are never alone on our guided self drive trips. Here our crew are giving detailed driving instructions to all the drivers.

Safari Week 6: Etosha National Park, Cape Cross and Swakopmund

Entering Etosha National Park you will be astonished at how different the landscape is to the other parks. There are plenty of opportunities to spot game including Rhino in this spectacle of a game park. Continuing to Twyfelfontein to view ancient rock paintings and a 200 million year old Petrified forest, we travel down the Skeleton Coast to the seal colony at Cape Cross and the characteristic town of Swakopmund before exploring the highest free standing sand dune in the World in Sesrium!

Safari Week 7: Kolmanskop, Fish River Canyon and Cape Town

We tour the diamond ghost town of Kolmanskop before sitting on the edge of the earth at Fish River Canyon. Crossing our final border into South Africa with our 4x4s we drive toward the farming area of Citrusdale before arriving in Cape Town. Leaving our vehicles parked at our hotel at the V&A Waterfront we go in search of the finest wines, cheeses and artesian beers in the famous wine region of Stellenbosch.

We enjoy a final scrumptious meal together before saying our goodbyes.
