Masai Mara and Zanzibar Itinerary

Day 1

Arriving in Kenya you are greeted by our representative and transferred to your accommodation for the night.

Day 2

Our vacation starts with a short flight to the Masai Mara where our safari adventure begins with an afternoon of game viewing in the midst of the African bush. The Masai Mara is the 7th natural wonder of the World so aptly named for its concentration of wildlife, rolling hills and breath taking savannah.

Day 3 – 4

I think this young hippo and mum are just as curious about us as we are about them as they wallow in water in the Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya

We game drive at leisure as we watch African wildlife in their natural habitat, this is not a zoo but open plains dotted with acacia trees, waterholes and rivers offering dazzling views and overwhelming space. Herds of giraffe meander effortlessly across the plains showcasing a silhouette in the afternoon sunlight while prides of lions gently groom their young cubs and vervet monkeys play high in the treetops.

In the evening we return to our luxury accommodation and while listening to the vibrant sounds of Africa we enjoy a sublime feast lovingly prepared by our resident chefs.

Day 5

We enjoy a final game drive while enroute to the airstrip and bidding farewell to our safari guides we board our flight to return to Nairobi. We have the option for a relaxing evening at our hotel or to visit one of Nairobi’s prestigious restaurants before continuing to Tanzania.

Day 6

Enjoy the romance of Zanzibar.

Enjoy the romance of Zanzibar.

Departing Kenya we continue our flying vacation to the romantic spice island of Zanzibar. Soon after leaving Nairobi we fly over the snow-capped peaks of Mt Kilimanjaro and Usambara Mountain range before reaching the spectacular tropical coastline of Tanzania and finally Zanzibar Island.

Day 7 – 11

Zanzibar is situated on the Indian Ocean along the warm tropical coast of Tanzania. Once the “point of no return” for slaves it is now a romantic island retreat offering honeymooners, families, beach lovers and those simply after some relaxation time a plethora of options. Sunbake on the idyllic beaches, or take on some aquatic game with deep sea fishing, spend a day exploring palaces and plantations, wander through the historical streets of Stonetown, give your senses a lift with a spice tour, complete your PADI certificate while learning to dive in one of nature’s most spectacular reefs; tickle your taste buds with fresh seafood prepared Zanzibarian style, laze under a palm tree, hire motorbikes and explore the islands interior, be entertained by rare red colobus monkeys in Jozani forest…the option are endless.

Day 12

Reluctantly it is time to bid farewell to our island paradise and return home.
